Account Manager (Waterloo Region)

Position Summary:

The Tilted Pixel team is looking to add an awesome new account manager in Waterloo. You will be responsible for managing website projects from start to finish, ensuring that existing clients are taken care of, proposing and managing new upgrades to existing client projects, and making sure that clients enjoy the process and the results.

In this role you will:

• Manage website projects from kick-off to deployment to on-going upgrades, ensuring everyone has what they need and problem solving along the way.
• Communicate closely with clients and our design & development teams to ensure projects meets expectations and launch on time.
• Set a high standard for client relations by being the primary point of contact for Waterloo Region, Toronto, and surrounding area. You will communicate over phone, e-mail, and meet clients in-person as needed.
• Propose appropriate Tilted Pixel solutions and educate clients on the best ways to meet their business goals online.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with managing a website launch from concept to live. Direct industry experience is a bonus, but other forms of experience welcome too. Other project management experience helps too.
• Demonstrate professional oral and written skills.
• Must understand and be passionate about the web (and be able to prove it!).
• Marketing or project management backgrounds are an asset.
• Must have access to own transportation and willing to meet clients on site.

• A positive and energetic person who can communicate clearly and confidently with clients and fellow workers.
• Naturally detail-oriented, and able to confidently manage a large amount of different tasks with good judgement of what should receive priority.
• Interested in regularly applying great problem solving skills to ensure projects are completed successfully.
• Enjoy a high degree of interaction with people.
• Excited about skipping the daily commute and working from home instead, but also happy to meet with clients and make the occasional trip out to Toronto where some of our clients are.

But You Should Pass On This Position If...

• You get easily stressed when you have a wide variety of tasks assigned to you, priorities to manage, or have to answer to multiple people/clients.
• Prefer to work quietly on your own over having to constantly communicate with people.
• You aren't comfortable holding a discussion on topics like "tweets", "page views",  "browser standards", and "Lolcats".

Training

We hope that you learn a lot here about all sorts of neat things. But will specifically provide training in/reveal our secrets of:

• Best-practices in managing a website project.
• What makes a website that actually creates benefits for a client (not just cheques for us).
• The Tilted Pixel website development project, and your crucial role throughout.
• Tilted Pixel service offerings and what makes us special.
• Tilted Pixel project management tools, quality standards, and processes for getting it "just right".
